Itinerary
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in. After completing the formalities, you will have the remainder of the day at leisure to rest and recover from your journey. After breakfast, you will begin a scenic drive to Chitwan, passing along winding mountain roads, rivers, and picturesque countryside landscapes. The journey offers beautiful views of terraced fields, small villages, and lush hillsides. Upon arrival in Chitwan, you will check in to your jungle resort and have time to relax. The subtropical lowlands of Chitwan provide a striking contrast to the Kathmandu Valley, with warm temperatures and rich natural surroundings. In the evening, you will enjoy a vibrant Tharu cultural program presented by the indigenous Tharu community. Today is dedicated to exploring the wilderness of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Asia’s finest wildlife reserves, renowned for its remarkable biodiversity and well-preserved subtropical ecosystem. After breakfast, you will set out for exciting jungle activities. A jeep safari through dense sal forests and open grasslands provides excellent opportunities to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. With a bit of luck, you may encounter the rare one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, wild boar, sloth bears, and even the elusive Royal Bengal tiger. You may also enjoy a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you can quietly observe marsh mugger crocodiles basking on the riverbanks and a wide variety of colorful bird species flying overhead. Early in the morning, you will drive to Sarangkot to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the snow-capped peaks, the panoramic Himalayan views create an unforgettable and peaceful experience. After returning to your hotel for breakfast, continue your sightseeing with a visit to Devi's Falls, a fascinating waterfall locally known as Patale Chhango.
